Providence iscalling a Clinical Nursing and Quality Supervisor to our ProvidenceMedical Group (PMG) - North Portland Family Medicine Clinic in Portland, OR.


is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, innovative RN looking to use or develop

their leadership skills to mentor Medical Assistants within their scope of

practice in a Family Medicine Clinic.

You’ll establish quality measures and ensure that the safety and

compliance are aligned to a high standard of excellence in this clinic.


North Portland Clinic is one of 13 PMG clinics that are part of the Comprehensive

Primary Care initiative (CPCi) launched by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid

Services to test new ways to deliver and pay for better and more affordable

primary care. This position will be

leading the quality initiatives associated with the CPCi. If you want to use your RN background to support

In this position, you will:

  • Be an integral member of the clinic leadership team in bringing the professional nursing perspective and expertise to the group and upholding the standards of clinical practice.

  • Be responsible for the oversight of clinical staff performance, coaching, mentoring, developing, and implementing clinical best practices.

  • Be responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical quality, ensuring state and federal compliance and clinical support patient care services are provided in an efficient and safe manner that is consistent with clinical best practices.

  • Provide direct patient care at top of Registered Nurse (RN) scope of practice, according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship

  • Must be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual and chronological maturation process.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN); -or-

  • Associate's nursing degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience may be accepted in lieu of the BSN degree

  • Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon

  • National Certification in area of specialty, unless otherwise indicated

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • 3-5 years of RN experience managing complex patients -or- successful completion of RN Ambulatory Residency program

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience working in an ambulatory setting

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience with providing progressive leadership, clinical staff education, competency development and evaluation, staff training and performance evaluation

  • 3 years of experience providing patient education
