Providence Health & Services Charge Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Charge Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry (0.9 FTE, Nights) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Demonstrate leadership by providing excellent patient care and mentoring of staff.

  • Be responsible for creating a climate of trust and empowerment within the team.

  • Coach the team by identifying strengths and learning needs, providing encouragement, motivation and confidence building.

  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team Focuses on quality and safety in patient care and staff performance, including participation in the evaluation process. Collaborate with the Clinical Development Specialist on a regular basis regarding staff development and competencies.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN)

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Oregon State Board of Nursing

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire

  • 1 year of acute care Registered Nurse (RN) experience

  • 3 years of staff nurse experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 5 years of staff nurse experience

  • 2 years acute care RN telemetry experience
