Providence Health & Services Certified Nursing Assistant 2 in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to work a full-time day shift position in our Diabetes Renal Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center in beautiful Portland, OR.
This position is scheduled to work 10 hour days, 4 days/wk (6:00am - 4:30pm) Sunday thru Wednesday. This is a 29 bed unit with a majority of patients coming from the Emergency Department. Patients on this unit are very sick and suffer from complex medical issues. The team that works on this unit is a well-oiled machine and practices solid teamwork and cares deeply for patients and their families.
In this position, you will:
Provide basic nursing care, to include: meeting the activity of daily living needs and other tasks as delegated, in order to meet the patient’s goals under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Provide care for acutely ill patients, with the nurse.
Possess the ability to work well with the rest of the team.
Demonstrate competency to provide care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with a wide variety of medical/surgical diagnoses.
Required q ualifications for this position include:
Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) course, or "grandfathered" to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements
Current, active certificate to practice as a CNA 2 in Oregon
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred q ualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of experience as a CNA 2
