Providence Health & Services Certified Medical Assistant - Children's Development Institute (East Clinic) in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Credentialed Medical Assistant to Providence Children's Development Institute at Child Center in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who has a passion for working with children and can facilitate the a great experience when they come into our busy clinic to see one of out many developmental Specialists.
In this position, you will:
Work closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited medical assistant (MA) program
Credentialing through a nationally recognized medical assistant program such as American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider
Six (6) months of recent experience working as a medical assistant
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year minimum as a medical assistant working with pediatric population
Experience working in a busy clinic
