Providence Health & Services Behavioral Health Manager - Emergency Crisis Intervention Services in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Behavioral Health Manager for the Emergency Crisis Intervention Services at our Providence Portland Medical Center and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Oversee the daily operations and strategies for the Providence Portland Medical Center (PPMC) and Providence St. Vincent (PSV) 24/7 emgerency department crisis intervention team.
The team is comprised of clinicians and non-clinicians working within the emergency department for the purpose of assessing, managing and triaging patients who present in acute mental health crisis.
The clinical team members are responsible for patient assessment at the direction of the treating physician providing diagnostic clarity, level of care recommendations, acuity of risk, brief interventional strategies and essential community collaboration.
The non-clinical staff have advanced education and/or training in identifying and engaging patients with potentially escalating behaviors/actions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s in Social Work or related psychology field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of licensure
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) training within 60 days of hire (recertification required annually)
5 years of current experience in Mental Health, Medical Social Work or Emergency Department clinical experience
Direct clinical management of 10 caregivers
