Providence is calling an experienced Registered Nurse to be an Administrative Supervisor at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN to act as an Administrative Supervisor, providing nursing service administration and leadership on all shifts, holidays and weekends to ensure delivery of comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and department activities on assigned shift. They assume operational accountability with responsibilities that may include human resource management and operational oversight.

This is a per diem (on-call), night shift position.

In this position you will:

  • Collaborate with managers and charge nurses to coordinate nursing and hospital activities on assigned shift.

  • Apply “system thinking” to identify and develop solutions to problems.

  • Act as in-house administrator for assigned shift.

  • In collaboration with clinical nurse managers and charge nurses assure adherence to established standards and procedures on the nursing units.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to assure quality patient care delivery.

  • Coach and facilitate staff in participatory decision making, task- and responsibility-sharing, and accountability.

  • Provide care appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State.

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certificate.

  • Five years of acute (hospital) RN experience (within the last seven years), including one year being in entry level management or supervision.

  • Ability to work independently and assume leadership role to accomplish objectives.

  • Proficiency in speaking and writing English.

  • Competence in leadership, data management, systems thinking, interdepartmental relationships, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior experience as an Administrative Supervisor.
