Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse – Documentation & Quality Specialist in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Documentation and Quality Specialist to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking an individual to perform functions that support the hospital and medical staff to continually improve patient care, reduces risk, and provide excellent customer service.
This is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week), day shift position.
In this position you will:
Participate with HIM and medical staff to identify areas for improvement related to patient care documentation practices, clinical support services and coding.
Compile data and drafts reports, submit or present findings to appropriate clinical, support or medical staff.
Assist others in gathering interpreting and displaying data.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State.
Experience as an RN in a hospital setting.
In-depth knowledge of clinical issues and patient care practices.
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be dependable and self-directed.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Three-five years of Acute Care experience within a health care organization.
Hospital experience in CCU, Telemetry, Emergency, or strong Med/Surg.
