Providence is calling for an Registered Nurse to St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a role model, leader, and bedside care coordinator of the multidisciplinary team providing patient care. As a professional caregiver the RN is responsible and accountable for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN plans and provides care to patients using the nursing process, available resources, and approaches based on hospital protocols and standards to achieve patient-driven outcomes and discharge-planning goals.
In this position you will:
Identify patient needs and establishes plans of care accordingly
Initiate clinical path/plan of care based on collaboration with key resources (patient, family, physician and others)
Collaborate and/or coordinate with appropriate staff in maintaining and documenting the optimum standards for patient care. Communicates with physician on appropriate level of care
Upon admission and concurrently during patient stay, accurately assess complex health data, to develop a comprehensive plan of care
Organize and analyze complex data to develop appropriate nursing interventions
Establish patient goals to develop a comprehensive plan from admission to post discharge
Consult with and advise the nurse manager, nursing supervisor, charge nurse, and/or MD of situations requiring follow-up or specific action
Communicate all pertinent facts regarding patient care to appropriate others (physician, family, etc.)
Required qualification for this position include:
WA State License Registered Nurse
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN) within 90 days of hire.
Nursing degree/diploma upon hire.
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) or higher required within three (3) years or 20 years of RN experience.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Experience in a hospital acute care Telemetry setting
