Providence Health & Services Clinic Supervisor - Monroe Clinic in Monroe, Washington


Providence is calling a Clinic Supervisor to join the team at Providence Medical Group in Monroe, WA.

This is a full time (Monday - Friday; Day Shift) and benefits eligible position.

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for providing supervisory direction for patient care and services in a clinic setting while overseeing the day-to-day activities of the department.

In this position you will:

  • Coordinate with the Clinic Manager, Medical Director and other staff to set appropriate goals for the clinic. Communicate clinic goals to employees and ensure that they have the tools and means necessary to achieve them.

  • Develop staffing plans to support the clinical service delivery in a cost-effective manner. Ensure adequate staffing levels in the clinic by scheduling or supervising the scheduling process. Approve requests for time off. Monitor and approve time cards to ensure consistency with applicable pay practices. Ensure time cards are submitted according to established time frames.

  • Provide daily supervision to department staff according to organizational policies and procedures. Initiate counseling and disciplinary actions when warranted and according to procedures and labor contract provisions. Conduct employee performance evaluation and goal setting for supervised staff. Follow up to ensure appropriate actions are taken and goals are met.

  • Participate in the screening and selection of staff according to organizational policies and procedures. Provide department orientation to newly hired employees.

  • Coordinate ordering and replacement of medical equipment, supplies, instruments, medications and immunizations. Coordinate the schedule for delivery of services to the clinic, such as medical gases, biohazard pickup with outside resources. Supervise staff involved in the delivery of clinical services such as laundry services, sterilization services, and biohazardous disposal.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and progressively responsible leadership experience in clinic management/medical office management. Significant and progressive experience may substitute for education.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Leadership experience in a specialty care clinic environment.
