Providence Health & Services Occupational Health Office Assistant in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling an Office Assistant to the Providence Center for Occupational Medicine at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. This is a full-time, benefited position.
In this position, you will:
Register patients at Providence Center For Occupational Medicine.
Obtain appropriate demographic information, insurance, medical information, billing number and medical record number and enter this information into HBOC and OHM computer systems.
Act as an office Receptionist, which includes greeting patients, employees, and the general public in a courteous manner, as well as establishing positive and appropriate relationships with patients, physicians and co-workers.
Provide support to the department by filing, photocopying, word processing, transcribing, and assisting with various projects.
Occasionally be required to collect urine specimens for drug screening, and process the appropriate forms.
Act as back-up to clerical support personnel in PCOM.
Rotate on an “on-call" status for emergency drug screens that occur after business hours if needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
High school-level course work in office procedures and communications or experience equivalent to 1 year in a medical office setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Receptionist-related medical office experience
