Providence Health & Services Patient Care Coordinator - Radiant Care Lacey in Lacey, Washington
Providence is calling a Patient Care Coordinator to Providence Radiant Care in Lacey, WA.
This is a full time (40 hours per week) and benefits eligible position. This role is based out of Lacey, but may require occasional travel to other clinic sites in Centralia or Aberdeen.
The Patient Care Coordinator will participate in a variety of patient and non-patient activities to assist the Radiation Oncologist in providing a competent and caring environment for patients and their families.
In this position you will:
Greet patients and handle the patient registration process.
Locate and obtain pertinent information and records prior to patient’s appointment. File documents, electronic and manual.
Be responsible for scheduling of: consultations, follow-up appointments, re-evaluations, diagnostic tests and others as applicable.
Answer phones for the Radiation Oncology Department. Route phone calls to the appropriate people. Make reminder calls to patients the day before their appointment.
Schedules x-ray exams and simulations as necessary.
Collection of co-pays and /or other payments, issue receipts.
Assist nursing area as needed; team environment/cross coverage.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED
Computer experience (word processing)
Type 50 wpm
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills
1-2 years of healthcare experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
