Providence Health & Services Material Handler- Consolidated Service Center in Lacey, Washington
The DOC team is recruiting for a Material Handler – Supply Chain, to support the Providence Distribution Operations Center in Lacey, WA.
The Material Handler supports warehouse operations to ensure smooth flow of customer transactions. The Job duties will include locating, identifying, transporting and storing warehoused materials in storage locations; safely performing a variety of shipping, receiving and physical inventory functions, including but not limited to prep of product, packaging, staging, labeling, and accurately processing packing slips/paperwork. Adherence to safety guidelines will be followed and work shall be performed in a manner which upholds our commitment to safety and excellence.
In this position you will:
Use but not limited to power equipment such as a forklift and other devices operated in a warehouse environment. Appropriate training will be provided.
Cross-train, as needed to learn all material handler functions including hazardous materials training.
Must meet unit quality, productivity, and performance metrics (including safety and attendance).
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
Contribute to a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork to foster a positive working environment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Entry level to four (4) years of relevant warehouse experience.
Attention to detail with product identification including serial number, lot number, expiration dates, hazardous, and damage.
Effective verbal and written communications skills.
Able to work with a sense of urgency.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with RF technology.
Experience operating power industrial equipment.
Demonstrate an understanding of unit of measure.
Ability to navigate WMS (computer application) and demonstrate basic problem-solving skills.
Availability to work a schedule which may involve a weekend day.
Able to maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
