Providence Health & Services Certified Medical Assistant in Lacey, Washington
Providence is calling a Certified Medical Assistant to the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic in Lacey, WA.
This is a full time position (40 hours per week) and is eligible for benefits.
In this position you will:
Work closely with physicians and mid-level providers (i.e. nurse practitioners, etc.) to help ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Apply knowledge, skills, and experience in patient interactions that take place both in person and over the telephone.
Prepare exam rooms, check patients in and out, escort patients to consultation room.
Schedule appointments, obtain insurance authorizations, obtain referrals from PCP and to other specialties.
Monitor and complete patient record requests, mail paperwork to new patients, collect and record data.
Initiate medication refill requests.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Graduate of an accredited and certified Medical Assistant program
Eligible to be certified as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) in Washington State
Certified or able to be certified at levels A, C, and E
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two years of community college or business school training
Work experience in a clinic setting
Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA)
