Providence is calling a Clinical RN Supervisor (MedSurg/OB/ICU) to Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, AK.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Patient Care Services Manager with the planning, coordination and supervision of the Med-Surgical Perinatal, L&D, Swing Beds and other department as assigned in accordance with Providence philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards.

Work collaboratively with the Patient Care Services Manager to plan for, direct, supervise and evaluate all program operations and patient care delivery in Med-Surgical, Perinatal, L&D, Swing Beds and other department as assigned.
Manage personnel issues and needs of assigned areas and employees to include, assisting with recruitment, hiring selection, evaluating, coaching and terminations.
Exhibit the necessary skills to build effective teams by coaching, building trust, and training staff to work collaboratively and cohesively with other staff and/or team members in a variety of settings.
Assist with the coordination and collection of statistical and other information to support and develop current and/or new services while ensuring cost effective processes and development plans are in place.
Provide support to coworkers and customers while demonstrating service excellence by building positive interpersonal relations to ensure productive and positive relationships are maximized.
Evaluate own practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Associates Degree in Nursing.
Complete Perinatal and L&D training to include orientation within one (1) year.
Must complete required in-service annually as determined by institution/department.
Five (5) years Registered Nurse experience in an Acute Care and/or ED setting.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
BLS or the ability to attain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
ACLS, PALS, and NRP or the ability to attain within six (6) months of date of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Two (2) or more years of experience in Labor and Deliver.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Current specialty certifications and AWHONN Fetal monitoring instructor certification.
