Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse Examiner SAC in Everett, Washington


Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to the Sexual Assault Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse (RN) to provide physical, forensic and emotional evaluation of sexual assault patients without physician presence. This is a Per Diem opening that will require working weekends on a rotational basis.

In this position you will:

  • Provide safe, effective nursing care.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs for patients in a variety of care settings.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

  • Perform medical forensic evaluation.

  • Complete mandatory reports to Child Protection Services, Adult Protection Services, and/or law enforcement within 48 hours and document according to protocol.

  • Respond to subpoena requests in a timely manner, participate in pre-trial preparatory and judicial interviews and/or depositions, and document interactions appropriately.

  • Be required to meet on call shift requirements.

requiring that all nurses be either BSN-prepared or achieve their BSN within five years of hire.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) - required within 5 years of hire

  • One (1) year direct patient care/acute care RN experience

Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse (PICAA) is a service of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. PICAA provides medical, advocacy and counseling services and evaluations to adult and child victims of sexual and physical abuse (including the incarcerated population- PREA) in Snohomish County.

PICAA is housed in DAWSON PLACE Child Advocacy Center in Everett. This Center provides a team of professionals to help survivors and their families through an often difficult process.
