Providence Health & Services Grief Support Coordinator in Everett, Washington
The Grief Support Coordinator will beresponsible formaintaining a caseload of hospice survivors in need of counseling and support, facilitating support groups as needed. This role will also provide clinical and administrative supervision to counseling students/interns, as well as coordinating their educational development and training.
In this position you will:
Oversee Bereavement Counseling student program to support and encourage bereavement outreach to Hospice families and appropriate community members.
Coordinate the educational development and training of Bereavement students as well as the educational needs of the Agency and that of the community.
Provide individual and group grief support to hospice families as well as the community.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in social work from accredited school of social work, Master’s Degree in Psychology
Current MSW/MFT or MHC license in the State of Washington or related field license
Demonstrated skill in clinical supervision
Current driver’s license and automobile insurance
Experience in a health care and/or aging services setting; demonstrated skills in working with elderly anddying persons and their families essential
Education and/or experience in counseling, including basic psychological, social and spiritual needs of the bereave persons and risk assessment when appropriate
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Five years previous hospice experience
