Providence is calling a Community Outreach Educator (Injury Prevention, 0.5 FTE, Days) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

We are seeking a Community Outreach Educator, this position will be responsible to collaborate with internal and external colleagues to provide education on injury prevention in effort to decrease preventable death and injury within our community. This individual will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, facilitating and delivering community education to appropriate populations within PRMCE, Snohomish County and the North Region on injury prevention. Seeking an Injury Prevention Coordinator/Health Educator with experience in public speaking, strong communication and organizational skills willing to serve as a spokesperson for injury prevention.

In this position you will:

  • Coordinate and schedule presentations with outside agencies and school groups.

  • Review annually the educational content with the Trauma Nurse, Director of Education and/or appropriate CNS or Educator.

  • Document annual content review-revision as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Public speaking experience

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Licensed RN in Washington State

  • Experience working with schools, community organizations and media event planning

  • Completion of ASHP accredited residency program
