Providence is calling a Chief Medical Officer to Providence Health & Services in Everett, WA.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the NWSA is an advocate for the patient and community in the pursuit of delivering quality care when such care is initiated in, or delivered predominantly within the acute care ministry, including pre- and post-hospital relationships. This position is responsible for implementing key integration strategies with the medical staff, clinical staff, hospital services, medical groups, other community care service providers, and clinical programs to achieve organizational strategic priorities and to meet the needs of the community and the NWSA region. The CMO works closely with employed and allied physicians and providers and to ensure clinical integration within the NWSA and the Western Washington Market. Within a dyad leadership structure with the Vice President of Nursing, the CMO has responsibility for the NWSA clinical quality, safety, reliability, physician practice issues, and the day-to-day operations of the medical staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program.
Advanced training in leadership and quality improvement.
Previous demonstrated leadership in medical staff leadership roles. In these roles has demonstrated a style that conveys confidence, enthusiasm, and engenders trust in others.
Proven physician executive with a minimum of 10 years of clinical practice.
At least five years of progressive executive management experience.
Active Medical License in Washington State; Active Board certification in area of clinical practice.
Preferred qualifications for this position include :
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration or Business Administration or Certification in Health Care Management.
