Providence Health & Services Blood Bank Technical Supervisor in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Blood Bank Technical Supervisor to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
This position is responsible for assuring that work practices and procedures within the assigned department are performed to meet high quality standards of patient care and regulatory requirements. This responsibility includes both working the bench as well as administrative time for overseeing the technical activities of the assigned department.
Technically competent with respect to all routine bench responsibilities as a Medical Technologist in the division.
Oversight of Technical activities of the department division.
Organizes and coordinates orientation/training of new employees to the department.
Implements annual competency assessments.
Organizes Proficiency testing within the department.
Generates department management reports as requested.
Participates in appropriate QM data/activity pertinent to the department.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science with certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP or equivalent organization.
Previous experience will include at least 4 years clinical experience with demonstrated technical expertise.
MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent LIS.
