Providence Health & Services Anesthesia Technician in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling an Anesthesia Technician to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Offering $1,500 signing bonus as well as relocation assistance.
This is a 0.9 FTE, day shift position.
We are seeking an anesthesia technician to join the anesthesia services team. This position prepares operating rooms and equipment for anesthesia, using appropriate techniques and following anesthesia technician guidelines. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values of the Sisters of Providence.
In this position you will:
Restocks and sets up anesthesia equipment in the Surgical and Labor/Delivery suites, including restocking items used by Anesthesiologist; syringes, needles, non-controlled drugs, respiratory equipment and other miscellaneous items
Changes breathing tubing between cases, empties trash bins and changes suction canisters and tubing
Washes and disinfects anesthesia equipment including tubes, nasal airways, stethoscope, face masks and intubation equipment
Assembles and maintains standardized procedure kits for blocks, central lines, arterial line, blood product infusions and fiber optic scopes
Maintains adequate par-levels for non-stock supplies and communicates any shortages to the Surgical Materials Specialist
Coordinates the timely repair and maintenance of anesthesia equipment. Maintains maintenance and preventative maintenance records for equipment needs
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of Anesthesia Technologist Program
Anesthesia technician training and background. Experience in an acute care facility as an anesthesia technician and experience in medication administration
Experience as an anesthesia technician in an acute care facility
ASATT Certification required within 12 months of hire
