Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Nuclear Medicine in Colville, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Nuclear Medicine, Day Shift, 0.0FTE) to Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, Washington. Position Details: This is an on-call position (Weekdays). This position will cover the day shift (Any shift during the day).
In this position you will:
Explain purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients.
Obtain pertinent history and performs physical assessment of patient.
Prepare patients and patient charts for exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
Note and records symptoms and arrhythmia of patients which occur during stress testing.
Monitor vital signs pre- and post-test and during testing period.
Provide general care such as proper attire for patient, positioning patient, applying equipment, electrodes, and monitoring equipment.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse
Must have current advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification or within 2 weeks of hire
Must have and maintain a current healthcare provider cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) card or obtain one within three months of employment
Knowledge in all phases of treadmill graded exercise testing
One to three years of clinical experience in graded exercise testing (GXT) preferred
Ability to operate EKG equipment, some knowledge of drugs used in a cardiac practice, and a minimum of two years of cardiology experience (preferably within the past three years)
Cardiac evaluation and assessment skills
Basic understanding of nuclear medicine and radiation safety
