Providence Health & Services Emergency Preparedness Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling an Emergency Preparedness Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Health & Services in Centralia, WA.
We are seeking an Emergency Preparedness Manager to be responsible for the regional development, maintenance and education of the Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) which provides for the needs of the organization and surrounding communities while facilitating integration of resources and services between public and private agencies during emergencies and disasters; and for the provision of facility support activities in all off main campus sites.
In this position you will:
Train management and line staff in emergency preparedness.
Create and manage meeting agendas and facilitate effective group meetings.
Develop and implement processes for monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of training.
Act as liaison with city, county, state, and federal agencies and health care related organizations related to emergency preparedness.
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, employees, and as appropriate, other information.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Emergency Preparedness Program and other related policies and procedures consistent with all regulatory requirements.
Complete annual mandatory education review and competency program.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Baccalaureate degree in science; work experience in emergency/disaster management or safety may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Completion of ICS 300.
3 years’ experience in emergency management, environmental health, and/or safety.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Education in emergency/disaster management.
Completion of FEMA Professional Development Series.
Experience in community mass casualty incident planning, domestic bioterrorism and emergency preparedness programs.
Specialized training in hazardous materials.
Knowledge of Washington State Department of Health and Joint Commission emergency preparedness standards and regulations related to health care Hospital Incident Command System (HICS).
