Providence Health & Services Clinical Manager, Surgical Services in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Manager, Surgical Services (Full Time, Day Shift) to work in Surgery at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
We are seeking a Clinical Manager, Surgical Services to be responsible for the daily operational functions of patient care in the surgical services environment.
In this position you will:
Manage staff in Surgery Services departments; ensure time sheets are accurately completed as required.
Consult with staff, physicians, and Department Director on Nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Develop, revise, and implement Surgical Services policies and procedures.
Maintain performance improvement activities, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide planning of educational needs.
Provide and control supplies and equipment needed for successful operation of the Surgical Services Department; manage and delegate control of inventories to ensure proper amounts available.
Verify availability of all supplies required for correct operation of the department; oversee sterilization process.
Manage actions toward supervision of nursing care given to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within the surgical suite and PACU, according to nursing policies and procedures and AORN standards.
Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and JCAHO regulations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current WA State DOH license to practice as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Three (3) plus years’ clinical nursing in an OR of like size and scope
Familiarity with a wide variety of OR / PACU equipment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
CNOR, ASPAN or Board Certification by ANCC
Previous management experience
