Providence is calling a full time, night shift Registered Nurse to the Emergency Department at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

Our state of the art Emergency Department at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank provides full service emergency care for every patient that enters our doors, no matter the hour of the day. All of our emergency department physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and, as a Paramedic Base Station, our care begins in the field, as we relay instructions from our medical team so that paramedics can begin critical treatment protocols even before our patients arrive at the hospital.
In this position you will:
Implement and maintain established department, unit, administrative, and clinical policies/procedures for patient care, safety, and infection control.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment with attention to each patient's physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
Collaborate and communicate with other personnel to maintain good employee relations, meet interdepartmental objectives, and optimize patient care.
Provide direction to team members to coordinate care of assigned patients and problem-solve patient care issues during the shift.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
One (1) or more years experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an Emergency Room/Department
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association within 180 of hire.
NIHSS Certification required within six months for new hires and transfers.
MOAB I/II required within 30 days to 150 days of hire.
Fluent ability to understand oral and written English directives, including English text.
Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to delegated tasks.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
