Providence Health & Services Community Health Manager - San Fernando Valley ( Full Time - Day ) in Burbank, California
Providence is calling a full time, day shift Manager of Community Health - San Fernando Valley. This position will sit at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for leadership and day to day management of Community Health programs -- including supervision, budget, evaluation, delivery of service units
Be responsible for program development and planning, in addition to implementation of new grant funded projects and oversight of program evaluation
First preference will be givento those candidates that have a strong working knowledge of non-profitcommunity health organizations in the San Fernando Valley, and are bilingual inEnglish and Spanish.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree
Three years experience in program administration, and supervisory experience in a healthcare, community or school setting
Three years program experience in a hospital or community based organization which serves the needs of underserved children and/or adults
Knowledge of health care environment, medical office policies and procedures, general accounting procedures and human resource management practices
Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate work activities
Ability to give constructive feedback to clinical staff, health educators and support staff, and facilitate an efficient, team oriented work environment
Strong knowledge of data management software and/or Electronic Medical Records
Demonstrated management and leadership skills, particularly mentoring, coaching and conflict management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Service Administration, Community Health or related field
