Providence is calling Registered Nurse - Telephone Advice (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for the interactive process that occurs over the telephone with the client that identifies the nature and urgency of the client’s healthcare needs and then determines appropriate disposition.
Schedule an appointment as the client’s condition requires, answer questions, and provide health education in relation to the call.
Accurately document the encounter with the client for continuity of care.
Facilitate care that is based on the nursing process, evidence-based guidelines and is consistent with Oregon and Washington’s Nurse Practice Act.
Utilize a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
Be proficient in using Microsoft Office products and multiple computer applications.
Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team.
Be accountable for personal behavior and ongoing professional behavior and development.
The Triage Service Center serves clients in a fast-paced, challenging, multi-customer telephone call center that operates 24/7.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current unencumbered Washington RN license or must obtain within 6 months of hire
Must obtain other required nursing state licensures within 6 months
2 years of nursing experience as an RN
Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office products, and electronic communication systems
Ability to type 30 wpm
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's of science in Nursing
Ambulatory Nursing Certification
5 years of nursing experience as an RN
Telephone triage experience
Progressive leadership experience
