Providence Health & Services RN Staff - Nurse Family Partnership in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Family Partnership Registered Nurse to Providence In-Home Services in Anchorage, AK.
The Family Partnership Nurse will provide home visits to women and their families enrolled in the Nurse Family Partnership Program.
In this position, you will :
Carry a caseload of up to 25 clients, utilizing nursing processes and clinical expertise to build therapeutic relationships, engage in motivational interviewing and mutual goal setting to assist high risk mothers in developing healthy plans for their families.
Be accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care that is individualized for their assigned clients and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment, planning implementation, evaluation).
Perform home visits in accordance with PI-HS philosophy and the NFP Model Elements and guidelines.
Provide education, support and referral resources in assisting women and their families in attaining their targeted goals.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN.)
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
Valid AK Driver’s license.
Basic Life Support certification (BLS.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to travel for required NFP course work.
Participation in NCAST Feeding and Teaching Scales training upon hire.
Variable schedule to meet client needs.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Two years experience in maternal/child health, public health, home health or mental/behavioral nursing.
