Providence Health & Services RN Staff - Infusion Center in Anchorage, Alaska

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to the Infusion Center at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.

The Registered Nurse will be accountable for the delivery and supervision of safe, quality care that is individualized for their assigned patients and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment, planning implementation, evaluation).

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for the assessment, treatment and care of patients in populations and ages as assigned.

  • Access, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the patient’s plan of care and activities collaboratively with other members of the health care team. Families and or significant others will be included within the plan of care as appropriate.

  • Direct, delegate and manage the care delivered by colleagues and subordinates.

  • Perform all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire

  • All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire

  • A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska at time of hire.

  • BLS required upon hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Military Training Network (MTN) upon hire.

  • Twelve (12) months acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at that facility.
