Providence Health & Services RN Clinical Research - Oncology in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Clinical Research Nurse to the Oncology Research Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
In this position, you will:
Coordinate care of patients enrolled to oncology clinical trials including patient eligibility, coordination of tests and procedures, and education of patients, families, and medical staff.
Be responsible for patient advocacy, protocol submissions, and assurance of compliance with federal and international human subjects regulations.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Maintain current nursing knowledge related to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation and care of adult oncology patients.
Analyze clinical research protocols for appropriateness to open based on oncology patient population and protocol requirements of standard vs. non-standard of care.
Provide ongoing assessment of oncology patients enrolled to complex cancer treatment clinical trials; coordinate nursing plan of care according to protocol and patient needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska at time of hire.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification within area of expertise or practice preferred (OCN, CCRP).
Two years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
