Providence is calling a Primary Care Registered Nurse to the Providence Transitional Care Center in Anchorage, AK.
Are you searching for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others? Providence Transitional Care Center is looking for a fantastic Primary Care Nurse who will be in charge of resident care for a specific group of residents, to include, being the point of contact for resident information, supervision of team members, assist with clinical interventions and resident activities of daily living, and coordinate referrals to other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. You will provide quality care when it comes to administering medications and treatments, and provide direct licensed nursing care to a group of residents on a given shift. You will partner closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, C.N.A.s, of resident changes of condition and receive orders thereafter. You have the opportunity to collaborate with all other healthcare professionals as needed for service for appropriate residents. The transitional care team demonstrates awareness of human and resident right’s in all aspects of care, and we treat each resident and co-worker with respect and dignity.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
Current Alaska Registered Nurse license.
Proficiency in medication administration.
Ability to become proficient in IV therapy within scope of practice according to licensure.
Ability to clearly articulate and communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Six (6) months nursing experience in a health care facility in acute care, long term care, or a rehabilitation center.

The Transitional Care Center has a total of 52 beds with a variety of health rehabilitation issues (ages 20 and up). This is an exciting, busy unit with constant change, many admits, discharges.
