Providence Health & Services Non-Invasive Cardiac Tech in Anchorage, Alaska


Providence is calling a Non-Invasive Cardiac Tech to the EKG Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.

In this position you will:

  • Perform electrocardiographic exams using a variety of ECG equipment and procedures

  • Perform stress testing using both exercise and pharmacologic modalities.

  • Perform transcription of all dictated ECG interpretations

  • Assist in maintaining patient information/billing logs and electronic databases

  • Assist ECG department supervisor in carrying out transfers/merges within electronic storage database

  • Perform charge reconciliation and correction in order to ensure correct patient billing

  • Utilize knowledge of ECG interpretation to facilitate Transcription and QI process


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • One year (1) patient care experience in an acute care setting.

  • Good transcription and spelling skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • CCT certification.

  • Two years of experience in ECG/Stress ECG in an acute hospital care setting.

  • ECG transcription experience.

  • Experience maintaining electronic patient database.

  • ICD9 coding experience.
