Providence Health & Services Neurodiagnostic Technologist in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a part time Neurodiagnostic Technologist with Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
The Neurodiagnostic Technologists primary responsibility is to perform neurodiagnostic testing-i.e. electroencephalography (EEG) in inpatient and outpatient areas for adult and pediatric populations.
In this position you will:
Set up patients for testing and performs neurodiagnostic testing.
Calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot equipment with safe operating techniques; maintain inventory and/order supplies.
Analyze, produce, distribute, and follow-up on patient data; score accurately while recording.
Perform neurodiagnostic testing according to national standards and guidelines.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent required with on the job training perferably a Certificate or Associate level degree in Electroencephalogram (EEG) or electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology (If qualifiying based on completion of web based program must vet program through department manager).
Certification from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) or the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) or another related registration to be vetted through neuroscience director within two years of employment.
CPR or Basic Life Support certification
Must have current EEG experience or recent completion of approved EEG program.
