Providence Health & Services LPN Resident Services Coordinator (on-call) in Anchorage, Alaska


Providence is calling a Resident Services Coordinator- LPN to Providence Horizon House in Anchorage, AK.

The Coordinator will supervise, direct and act as a resource person for Assisted living Attendants (ALA’s) and other staff and assist them with their duties as needed. This person will fill in vacation and sick leaves. The shifts are day or evening but no night shift.

In this position you will:

  • Provide services to frail elderly to maintain the greatest level of functioning and independence.

  • Assist the Director, Resident Services Manager, and residents in reviewing established service plans.

  • Orient staff to, and is able to perform and train staff, in several functional areas.

  • Work with a team approach to complete daily operational needs and provide leadership to ensure work processes are within standards.

  • Assist and discuss with residents any areas of concern (medical or social) and assist residents with medications and treatments as stated in the service plan.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of licensed practical vocational nursing.

  • Current Alaska LPN license.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • A minimum of two (2) years prior experience in a health care setting.

Preferred qualifications for this job:

  • Experience with the elderly and Alzheimer’s or related dementia.

  • Also, must satisfy State of Alaska Licensing, Assisted Living Homes background records and finger print check criteria.
