Providence Health & Services Laboratory Courier in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Laboratory Courier to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
The Laboratory Courier will be responsible for transporting specimens and supplies for the Providence Alaska Medical Center Laboratory around Anchorage and valley area.
In this position you will:
Deliver laboratory reports to client offices in a timely fashion; Drive to client’s offices for pick-up of specimens.
Check specimens against request slip for proper collection and labeling.
Perform weekly supply checks at each client location and recommend any action needed.
Assist with any accessioning of specimens within the lab; Deliver specimens to appropriate lab section after accessioning is complete.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write and perform oral and written procedures along with mathematical and technical scientific skills.
A valid and current Alaska driver’s license along with a safe driving record.
One (1) year of customer service experience and computer experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- PC and word processing skills.
